Perusu Brings Absurdity to a Whole New Level
Perusu turns a funeral into a laugh riot when two brothers (Vaibhav and Sunil) struggle to hide their late father’s, ahem, persistent farewell from their nosy small-town neighbors. Director Ilango Ram’s Tamil remake of Tentigo leans heavily on slapstick humor, rapid-fire dialogue, and escalating chaos, making for an entertaining if slightly overextended ride. The supporting cast, including Bala Saravanan and Redin Kingsley, keeps the energy high, though the film eventually runs out of fresh gags. While it doesn’t aim for depth, Perusu delivers enough laughs to keep the comedy alive—at least for a while.
